What are the Entrance Requirements? (NAC 394.381 (6) (d) & NAC 394.607)

All student enrolling for training classes at All About Caring must be at least 18 years of age and show proof of high school diploma or equivalency.

Students must present a current government issued, signature-bearing, photo ID with your legal name and date of birth.

Students must be able to read, write and speak in English. Student attire for individual classes is business casual.

No shorts, flip flops, or clothing with provocative slogans.

Attire Scrubs are the required attire for the Medication Aide and the Personal Care Assistant programs. Part of learning a new profession is to look and conduct yourself as you would in the workplace. It will be the responsibility of the student to purchase and maintain their scrubs. The scrubs can be any color, so long as they are clean, well maintained and do not contain any offensive language or pictures in their design.

Physical Demands of a Medication Aide or a Personal Care Attendant require the ability to do all of the following as required in training and generally in the job place: Walking, stooping, turning, bending, squatting, kneeling and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently, constant repetitive standing, requires normal vision with or without corrective lenses, good hearing, and the ability to accurately discern color as necessary to perform job functions.


When do I pay for my class?

Payment for all classes must be paid at the completion of your class. Certificates of Completion will not be issued until the program is paid in full, unless prior arrangements are approved in writing by the AAC Director.

What if I cannot attend all days of my class?

Contact the AAC Director immediately. You may be allowed to re-take the class in its entirety within 3 months.

Attendance Policy – NAC 394.381 (6) (f)
All absences are recorded, regardless of reason.

Student not in their seat at the scheduled class time will be considered tardy.
Student leaving school before their official dismissal will be marked as tardy.
2 tardy equals 1 absence
1 absences and the student will be removed from the remainder of the training.

All classes less than 5 days in length require 100% attendance.

If I fail the exam can I retake it?

Yes, we offer a remedial class free of charge and you may retake the exam one time.

How long is my certificate good for?

The Medication Management Aid/Tech certificate is valid for one year. Each year thereafter, a medication aid/tech is required to take an additional 8 hours of training and again pass an exam with a score of 80% or better to receive an updated certificate of completion and remain active to work as a medication aide/tech

Credit for Previous Training (NAC 394.381 (6)(j))
Credit for previous education and training will not be accepted at All About Caring, with the exception of
Medication Management Annual Re-certification class or any re-certification CPR class upon proof of current prior initial training.

Nevada Student Refund Policy (NRS 394.449)
NR5 394.449 Requirements of policy for refunds by institutions.

1. Each postsecondary educational institution shall have a policy for refunds which at least provides:

(a) That if the institution has substantially failed to furnish the training program agreed upon in the enrollment agreement, the institution shall refund to a student all the money the student has paid.
(b) That if a student cancels his or her enrollment before the start of the training program, the institution shall refund to the student all the money the student has paid, minus 10 percent of tuition agreed upon in the enrollment agreement or $150, whichever is less.
(c) That if a student withdraws or is expelled by the institution after the start of the training program and before the completion of more than 60 percent of the program, the institution shall refund to the student a pro rata amount of the tuition agreed upon in the enrollment agreement or $150, whichever is less.
(d) That if a student withdraws or is expelled by the institution after completion of more than 60 percent of the training program, the institution is not required to refund the student any money and may charge the student the entire cost of the tuition agreed upon in the enrollment agreement.

2. If a refund is owed pursuant to subsection 1, the institution shall pay the refund to the person or entity who paid the tuition within 15 calendar days after the:

(a) Date of cancellation by a student of his or her enrollment;
(b) Date of termination by the institution of the enrollment of a student;
(c) Last day of an authorized leave of absence if a student fails to return after the period of authorized absence; or
(d) Last day of attendance of a student, whichever is applicable.

3. Books, educational supplies or equipment for individual use are not included in the policy for refund required by subsection 1, and a separate refund must be paid by the institution to the student if those items were not used by the student. Disputes must be resolved by the Administrator for refunds required by this subsection on a case by case basis.

4. For the purposes of this section:

(a) The period of a student’s attendance must be measured from the first day of instruction as set forth in the enrollment agreement through the student’s last day of actual attendance, regardless of absences.
(b) The period of time for a training program is the period f set forth in the enrollment agreement. 61 Page
(c) Tuition must be calculated using the tuition and fees set forth in the enrollment agreement and does not include books, educational supplies or equipment that is listed separately from the tuition and fees.

(d) All About Caring Does Not Accept Prepayments for any class. Upon the completion of the attended class, All About Caring, LLC will invoice the student or designated responsible party for payment of the class. A certificate of completion and transcript will be awarded upon completion of the program, this includes meeting the performance levels required for graduation. All financial obligations must be met, and all accounts must be in good standing before a certificate of completion and student transcript is issued to the student, unless prior arrangements have been authorized by AAC, management.

3- day Cancellation Policy

If a student cancels his or her enrollment before the start of the training program or no later than three (3) days after signing the Enrollment Agreement, the institution shall refund to the student all the money the student has paid. Cancellation may occur when the student provides a mail properly addressed with proper postage. The written notice of cancellation need not take any particular form and, however, expressed, it is effective if it shows that the student no longer wishes to be bound by the Enrollment Agreement


Student Conduct – NAC 394.381 (6) (g)

Students will be terminated for violation of any of the following rules and regulations, with automatic forfeiture of paid tuition. All students are expected to act maturely and are required to respect other students and faculty members.
1. Any student caught cheating on exams or assignments will be terminated from the program.
2. Any sexual misconduct, i.e.; unprofessional advances, vulgar or offensive language, innuendoes, or
harassment on the School’s premises.
3. Disruptive, abusive, or unprofessional behavior.
4. Any student under the influence or in possession of alcohol, marijuana, or any controlled substances
on the school’s premises.
S. Any student having possession of firearms or weapons of any nature on the school premises.
6. Disrespecting of another’s cultural diversity through inappropriate attire, speech, or behavior.

Program Tuition – NRS 394.441 (1)
The student will be responsible for purchase and maintenance of a set of scrubs for wear to class.
A listing of tuition of each individual class or program is listed separately and must be requested individually.
Tuition is billed in one payment period to the individual student or if training is being paid per third party agencies, tuition will be billed per invoice at the completion of the training.

Career/Placement Service – NAC 394.381 (6) (k)

All About Caring offers employment assistance to graduates, consisting of maintaining a list of successful graduates who have authorized the All About Caring school to endorse graduates to potential employers who inquire about the availability of the program graduate. This In no way is a guarantee, expressed or implied, of future employment. Current law prohibits any school form guaranteeing job placement as an inducement to enroll.
